Kurt Steele Amazing Word from God

I am reciting scripture with my accountabilty partner and we are hearing God's word coming out of each of our hearts. The word is alive and active. I am seeing amazing results as I meditate on His word. Results include: more power and victory over sin, a more powerful filter over the lures of the world, flesh and the devil, a huge and growing sensitivity to sin, and amazing depth in prayer as I pray God's word and not Kurt's word. I have a heightened dependancy on the Lord. My podcast is from the insights while I meditate at http://kurtsteelemeditation.podbean.com

I am excited at what God is showing through meditation.

Kurt Steele Holding to His Nail Scarred Hands

One more river to cross
One more mountain to climb
One more valley that I gotta go through
Leavin my troubles behind
One more battle with the devil
And I know he'll understand
I am going through with Jesus, Hallelujah
Holding to His nail scarred hands
What a truth from this southern gospel classic! What hope I have...
Because of the finished work on the cross
Meditate on this truth
This is from I Timothy when Paul challenges us,
"Fight the good fight, holding to faith and a good conscience..."
Let's cling and hold on to Jesus...

Kurt Steele The Mystery of the Faith

In Chapter 3 of I Timothy, Paul writes the qualifications for overseers and deacons. In the midst of the list, deacons are held to not having an attitude which is fond of sordid gain BUT holding fast to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. At the end of the chapter, Paul refers to the mystery of godliness which is the person of Jesus Christ. My eyes were suddenly opened while meditating on this powerful book. Leaders of the church are to hold fast to the person and finished work of Christ and that is the only way that the characterisics of godliness that are the standard in this chapter cab be lived out, cling to Christ...holding on the amazing mystery of the faith.

Kurt Steele Still Amazed

The Song in the Musical at Abundant Fellowship that so touched my heart is titled, "I Stand in Awe". The lyrics are all about God changing US in His presence:

I stand in awe, so amazed
Totally changed by Your presence forever
Every time I look into Your eyesI see a glimpse of what I’ve always wanted to be
Let me be changed, let me be changed in Your presence

May we wait on Him and allow Him to change us.

In His presence, there is NO condemnation
In His presence, there is NO fear
In His presence, there is No judgement

After going through so much in the past year, the slandor and malice and condemnation of scam.com, I ran to the Lord where there was NO CONDEMNATION.

After death threats and amazing unfair accusations, I saw God's love and grace.

After being reminded and mocked for my sins and many that were lies, I found Jesus Christ who crushes the Accuser (Satan)

I found that Jesus forgives and removes sin from us as far as the east is from the west.

I found a new name in Christ since so many have tried to ruin my name on the internet. My new name is "accepted one"

Kurt Steele Accepted One

Kurt Steele Contemplates and Meditates on the Cross

What is the cross? It was a brutal execution method that was bloody and inflicted long and painful suffering. The cross became the symbol of Christianity because it is the vehicle that brought salvation and redemption of sins through Jesus Christ. The cross was also the target of God's wrath against sin as Jesus took the sins of the world on His shoulders. This doctrine is propitiation which in the greek language means "satisfaction" because Jesus' satisfied the wrath and judgement of God with his death on the cross. Now all that written to say this, "Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe..."

This is grace. This is mercy. This is love. THE CROSS.!!!!

Kurt Steele - Today in meditation God spoke to me

Deuteronomy 8:11-20 blows my mind. I meditated on it because I have so much to restore and I am recovering from a stroke and I am weak. The Lord spoke to me in a powerful way tha amazes me. It has always been Kurt Steele that sucks it up and tries harder. In this passage, it clearly states that Kurt Steele is not to forget the Lord my God. Don't for get Kurt...do not forget by doing it your way and by not keeping my commandments. Do you see?

Forgetting=pride...Forgetting=Disobedience...bottomline...Forgetting=Independance

God then reminds them...

In verses 14-16:

Who brought you out from slavery (Egypt)

He led you through the great and terrible wilderness...

With its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was NO water...

He brought water for you out of the rock of flint...

In the wilderness He fed you manna...

WHY???? Read verse 16--that He might humble you and that He might test you to do good for you in the end.

Read verse 17---OTHERWISE, you may say in your heart, 'My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth'

God is so content to make you perfectly weak so that He is perfectly strong. WOW!

God gets more glory and we do NOT forget Him when we are CONTENT to be perfectly weak.

Keep reading...remember God (v 18)...it is He who is giving you power to make wealth...

God and God alone.

How freeing that it is not my brains, wisdom or power to restore me...it is only God and God alone for His glory and honor.

Amen!!!!!

Kurt Steele - Memorizing Partner

I want to talk about partnership in memorization of God's Word. I have partnered with a friend on the internet who is committed to mastery of scriptures. He is the founder of www.scripturememorychallenge.org . I have told him about my pilgrimage in restoration and we are meeting on a weekly basis to drive towards the memorization of the entire New Testament. I have to tell you that isolation is no place for believers. Islands lead to defeat, community leads to freedom. Let's master the scripture together not under law but under grace. Master the words of our Father who is in heaven.

Kurt Steele - The power of the word of God

Psalm 119 is a chapter in the Psalms that speaks if the preciousness and power of God's word. I love this subject and I have to say that a dear friend of mine, Chuck, has caused me to fall in love with the word of God all the more. He speaks of the word with such reverence and awe. He gets so excited about the dep truths in the Bible that he discovers. I am going through the bible now and reading every word and every day I ask God, "What do you have to speak to me from the wonderful words of life, the Holy Scripture?" I amazed how God meets me and speaks. I am using a four color pen and each color represents something in the margin of my bible. Red is for the words God speaks something directly to me. Blue are my prayers to Him. Green is life application for me to live. Black is som insight or cross reference. What an adventure...but now I am memorizing as much as I can. I am trying to occupy all of my spare time to attempt to master the Scriptures by memory. What an exciting adventure.

Psalm 119 tells us that the word of God:

Restores us
Revives us
Keeps us from sin
Guides us
Instructs us
Corrects us
Lights our way

We must master the Word of God. Thanks Chuck for pointing me back into God's holy word.
